HISTORICAL SWORDPLAY

Before modern fencing there were many historical styles of swordsmanship with different philosophies and techniques. Practicing early swordplay in modern day is a fun way to get moving and learn the art of a historical system. If you enjoy learning martial arts or like seeing sword fights in a film this is for you.

This class offers the basics of Iberian historical swordplay to be practiced in a safe and fun environment. This is a system of fencing grounded in the writings of historical fencing masters from Iberia. This is a part of the wider Historical European Martial Arts practiced globally., as revival of old styles is a growing hobby, even in Brisbane.

All equipment will be provided (trainers are blunt carbon steel).

Please wear comfortable clothes and closed footwear. This class is for all fitness levels, ages 16 and over.

LAWN BOWLS  – Class held at Chermside

This five week training program covers all aspects of lawn bowls. All equipment is supplied and training is provided by Bowls Queensland accredited coaches.

This is a great opportunity to have fun and meet new people.

We increasingly lead busy and stressful lives.  Come along and treat yourself to the deliciousness of a yoga class.  Learn classical techniques in order to stop the chatter in the mind, stretch the kinks out of the body and relax.

Our tutors teach the Hatha style yoga. Hatha Yoga is based on asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques).

These classes are suitable for beginners to intermediate.

Please bring along a yoga mat, cushion, blanket and wear loose comfortable clothing.

 YOGA WITH MY LITTLE YOGI – PARENTS WORKSHOP

During this workshop you will be introduced to the beneficial practice of yoga and meditation and how it influences a child’s brain. You will leave with a range of go-to techniques to choose from when your child is experiencing emotional, phychological or physical suffering.

Kids Yoga Therapy specialises in complex behaviours, so come along to the workshop and we can work together to help bring CALM back into your home.
